Submission Forms:
Multiplayer idea sketches / Project 2 Update list Submission

Final Submission

We’re in the home stretch! For the final project #3, you have 2 options:

Option 1: Multiplayer Game

It is hard to make an NPC/AI/opponent that is as interesting or complex as a flesh-and-blood human being. Create a game that taps into the possibilities of multiple human players. This need not be competitive, “fair”, or even strongly-rule based. Try to make something that plays in the expansive possibilities offered by multiple actors as considered in the lecture

Requirements

  • Your project must involve multiple “players” in some capacity. You are encouraged to consider this expansively. Your project need not be competitive, or even conventionally game-like. (e.g. Endless Forest, exquisite corpse, Everybody Votes)

Option 2: Continue Project 2

You undoubtedly had many things you didn’t manage to get to before the deadline. If you are still excited about your project 2, you may continue to expand and refine your project 2 as your final assignment.

Requirements

  • Clear expansion and improvements to your first submission, commensurate with the amount of time remaining in the quarter. these might include:
    • New content (e.g. character dialogue, levels, expanded environments)
    • Expansion or improvement to your game mechanics
    • Visual enhancements (e.g. creating a more visually refined, dense environment, adding animation, etc…)

Due Dates

11/18 :

  • (Multiplayer option) 2 project ideas with written explanations and handdrawn sketches showing what you’re imagining to be discussed with instructors. (like previous assignments)

  • (Project 2 option) A list of changes you are considering making to your project 2 for the final deadline (be ready to discuss with instructors)

12/4 :
Final submission, and in-class game demo.

Evaluation (both options)

In addition to meeting the requirements above, you will be evaluated on the parameters described in the syllabus
